Tasty meatballs

Young and old, big and small: everyone loves meatballs! Prepare them in our slow cooker for an extra burst of flavour. A simple dish – simply yummy!

serves 4


  • 500 g meatballs (homemade or ready-made)
  • 2 onions, cut into rings
  • 2-3 tbsp tomato puree
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp dried onions
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • Salt and pepper
  • 400 ml beef stock
  • 2 tbsp gravy granules + 50 ml water


Step 1

Fry the meatballs in a pan for a few minutes until they are golden brown. Then place the meatballs in the slow cooker.   

Step 2

Fry the onion rings in the same pan as the meatballs and then add them to the slow cooker.  

Step 3

Add the tomato puree, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, oregano, dried onions, garlic, beef stock, and gravy granules to the slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper.  

Step 4

Leave to simmer gently for 4 hours (‘high’ setting) or 8 hours (‘low’ setting). 



garnish the meatballs with some thyme and serve with creamy mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables. Enjoy!
