Preparation
Step 1
Place a knob of butter in the slow cooker. Choose the Slow Cook LO setting and set the timer for 2.5 hours. Let the butter melt and then rub it on the surface of your slow cooker.
Step 2
Cut the bread into thick slices and cut each slice into 4 pieces. Spread the bread across the slow cooker.
Step 3
Combine the eggs, milk, cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg in a mixing bowl. Pour over the bread and place the lid on the slow cooker.
Step 4
Serve hot or warm with icing sugar, maple syrup and fresh fruit.
